There's an uninstaller, startup manager, browser plugin manager, system restore and drive wiper. Under Tools, you can find many other tools to clean and speed up your PC more. While we don't recommend cleaning your registry, again, CCleaner is very conservative, and I've never had an issue after thousands of uses. There are drive cleaners out there that can clear more space if needed, but they aren't as safe as CCleaner. The drive cleaner and registry cleaner are both conservatives. Realized soon after that it could mess with my system registry, and uninstalled it + used a system restore point. I was foolish and didn’t check anywhere else or any other threads about the reputability and safety (or lack thereof) of ccleaner. Decided to uninstall it and some of the only info on it I found was a super old thread from here with multiple people suggesting ccleaner.

This morning I found Adaware Web Companion on my PC, most likely from installing bittorrent or something similar a year or two back.
